Dr. Mark Newton is an energetic and entertaining speaker who has facilitated numerous companies, associations and schools in personal and professional development and employment retention strategies.  Dr. Newton is the President of Newton’s LAW and is the Director of the Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management Program at Gwinnett Technical College.

A graduate of the renowned School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, Dr. Newton worked over twenty years in hospitality management. After agreeing to teach a night class as a favor to a colleague, Dr. Newton happened upon the work that he truly loves. His exuberant personality and fun-loving spirit make him a natural success as a speaker. Dr. Mark Newton has earned Teacher of the Year awards on six separate occasions and is consistently recognized for teaching excellence by his students. Dr. Newton returned to school and earned his Masters and Doctoral Degrees from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Mark Newton started his own company, Newton's LAW in order to meet the demand for his speaking and consulting services. The company name is based on the philosophy that Learning leads to Achieving, resulting in Winning; thus the acronym LAW.

As the 2001 Speaker of the Year for the Georgia Chapter of the National Speakers Association, Dr. Newton can often be found speaking and consulting for clients such as Marriott Hotels, Day's Inns of America, International Society of Special Events, Wallis Oil Company, and Denny's Restaurants. Dr. Newton's twenty years of practical management experience combined with his entertaining presentation style have made him a favorite with audiences and a great investment.

During the past 20 years he has taught courses and seminars such as Employee Leadership Training, Employee Retention, Customer Service, and Professional Development as well as many other management and hospitality related courses.
